Highmark Walk
The Walk for a Healthy Community is a fundraiser presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield that benefits 53 local nonprofit health and human service agencies in Southwestern PA, including Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh.
This year's event was held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Heinz Field on the North Shore. Community members registered to participate as individuals or as a team benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh now by going to www.walkforahealthycommunity.org
You can sign up for the 5k or the one mile fun walk depending on your interest and Highmark underwrites the entire cost of the walk so 100 percent of the money raised by our participants will directly support our affordable housing efforts in the Pittsburgh area!
